90-Day New Surface Service

Having your pool resurfaced requires special care during the curing process. Let us take the guesswork out of the equation so that you can relax and enjoy your new pool without worry. Plaster has an approximate PH level of 12, pool water needs to be maintained between PH levels of 7.2 and 7.6 for safe swimming and a proper curing process. We implement a 90-day program to ensure that your pool's new finish is impeccable!

Week One:

  • A special chemical start up pack will be added to help in the curing process and reduce the need for excessive brushing.
  • The Pool pump needs to run 24 hours for the first full week to help filter out plaster dust or excess pebble.
  • Multiple weekly visits will be made to brush the plaster, remove debris and balance chemicals with special focus on lowering PH and alkalinity.

Week Two:

  • The pool pump will be reset back to the normal schedule.
  • We will continue with multiple weekly visits to brush the plaster, remove debris and balance chemicals with special focus on lowering PH and alkalinity.

Week Three:

  • If your pool has an automatic cleaner like a Polaris or Dolphin, this will be reinstalled.
  • Filter will be checked and cleaned as needed.
  • Multiple weekly visits will be continued to brush the plaster, remove debris and balance chemicals.

Week Four:

  • Multiple weekly visits will be continued to brush the plaster, remove debris and balance chemicals.
  • A digital chemistry test will be run to check calcium, cyanuric acid, copper, iron and phosphate levels.

Weeks Five Through Seven:

  • Once per week service will start with full cleaning, chemical maintenance and equipment inspection.
  • Calcium will be added to reach 150ppm.

Weeks Eight Through Eleven:

  • Once per week service will continue with full cleaning, chemical maintenance and equipment inspection.
  • Calcium will be added to reach 225ppm.
  • Cyanuric acid will be added to reach 30ppm for chlorine sanitized pools or 50ppm for saltwater pools.
